No sound when I push pads or no sound when I play the seq.

I was uploading some new sounds on my MPC 1000 the other day, once I was done with the uploads, I got no sounds from the MPC, not even the factory sounds, now when I am uploading sounds from the memory card I can hear them when I press play on the load screen, but other than that I get no sounds after that. The last thing I did on my MPC is try to hook up my korg Triton to with MIDI inputs, every since then I have not heard anything from the pads, maybe it is a MIDI setting or something. I have tried to reset to factory settings a zillion times and nothing ever happens, still the same stuff. Any ideas or inputs would be greatly appreciated before I throw this thing out the window.

Try to look in the midi sync menu. Make sure the option 'pad to sampler' is switched to 'on'.

I went into the MIDI/Sync menu and the active track receive channel is all, and the soft thru says: as track and sequence by program is on, pad to internal sound is also on. I still get no sound from pads, or sequences when I press play, although I press record and I can hear the time click or metronome. sync in and sync out are also off.

That was the only thing I could think of. If that's not it, then I don't know what it is.
Last suggestion I would give u is to check the outputs. Make sure all ur sounds are assigned to the stereo outs.

i just had this prob and figured it out...

mode midi/sync

under midi i have active track at 16 (dont think this matters), soft thru: off , sequence change by...ff, and pad to internal sound:ON (think this is the main thing)

Thanks Dan, appreciate your reply, but I still have not figured out the problem, I tried what you said and still no sound from the pads, any other suggestions?

just throwin this out there but try hitting the pads harder or turning on full level.
