I would list it on EBAY. New ones are selling for 850 now at guitarcenter, and a few used MPC1000 have auctioned for around 600+/- depending on features. I am looking for one myself, but am holding out for around 500. There is a used one for sale at roguemusic.com, which is a good place in NYC...and will peep that on Monday.

Hey, Evill, where did you source your black Volume Knobs and Rec/Overdub buttons from ?

I am in the process of ordering my Black pads and Black jog wheel ... would love to get the other bits in blck too. I have checked MPCStuff and VST.com, but they don;t have the above in blk ?

Thanks ...

Hi,I did all the black buttons and jog wheel myself forat style. They turned out perfect...
I have been very happy with them. They dont make the factory black buttons any more. I tried to get them too but the dude at VST told me AKAI doesn't make them anymore. Thanks for the feedback.

Unless you're really strapped, I would hold out on selling it. As said above, it's definitely a buyers market now. MPC's have proved to hold a very good resale value, so I'd wait out the storm. I may be wrong, but when the economy picks up I think you'd would get more later than you would now.

I would hold out man, $750 is not a lot of money. If your only $750 in the hole your not deep in debt. Now if you were $75,000 in debt Id say sell everything including the computer you use to log onto the forum with

Na seriously tho, I personally would hang on to it. You can sell 10 half decent beats for $75 a clip and get the money WITH the MPC....
