What?!!! That would be awesome for all those old synths. Is this even possible? Wouldn't you need to install some board or something like that???

i think it would be cool to use the "help" button as "shift" like on the mpc2000xl.

by hitting "help" / "shift" AND "<" / ">" on the transport control you could jump between the events (like on the mpc2000xl).

this is the only thing i REALLY miss when i look back on sequencing on the 2kxl (ok this and the fx board...).

right now i'm in the step sequencer, "cut" something - then i got to go to the main screen, go a few ticks further, re-enter the step seq. and "paste" it. i mean - i got used to and i do this really fast. but if i could pay 100 € to get rid of this procedure i'd do it.

that compression issue somebody talked about is also on my mind (i **** up some sounds by unwanted compression, too). i think that (except from the compression screen) the sound selection on the 3000 rocks. back in the day when i was on the 2000xl i had to go to "program", hit the pad of the sound i want to adjust and then hit shift + F5 to make adjustments on that sound.

and: i really got to thank you for the "edit sound while the sequencer is running" feature. man, that rocks - especially when i got to chop a drumloop and got to work on the right timing then.

I just read all the posts in this topic and ...

Poor Rohan, he just made a huge work, and some guys can't just read a FAQ or send him a mail?!?

Thanks again Rohan.

Rohan - you know the MPC innards better than most anyone. I want to know if an upgrade to support this feature is possible:

Simply put, I want to be able to send channel volume to the MPC 3000 and have the appropriate track volume change.

Example - say I have 4 tracks, 1-4. Each one assigned to a MIDI channel output (1A - 4A). I want to be able to send a volume message to the MPC on MIDI channel 2 and the goal is for the volume on track 2 (and whatever else is mapped to MIDI channel 2) to change.

I understand that the MPC can filter MIDI volume and if it is set to receive, the currently active track is only change, completely ignoring the MIDI channel information.

I also realize that I'm asking the OS to match up incoming MIDI channel messages with MIDI channel assignments to all currently playing tracks.

Alternately, could the soft thru function be made smarter to preserve the MIDI channel information and pass the volume messages through?

If this is all doable, what would be the likelihood of being able to extend the functionality to all MIDI CC info?

The goal is to use http://sound-on-sound2.infopop.net/2/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=215094572&f=594090574&m=8461083 to control the MPC 3000.

Thanks for any insights.

Sounds like a good idea at many levels...

Hey Rohan, i ordered a Vailixi 2 monthes ago, you said it will be shipped on 20th april but i never received it.

I send you several emails to get informations or a tracking number or something, but you don't answer anymore since we talked about the hard burn and paid for it.

Please, you have to answer me. I can't live without the 264$ or the Vailixi OS you owes me. It is big money to me.

How am I going to get Vailixi for my 3k? I have tried to send email to Rohan three times but they always come back saying this:

(generated from [email protected])
mailbox is full: retry timeout exceeded

------ This is a copy of the message's headers. ------

I have also sent a pm to Rohan via mpc-forums but he hasn't answered.

Yes I have responded...

Mailbox was full. ( without warning )

Didn't know until seeing this message.

Business as usual ( or unusual depending on how you see the world )

Thanks.

Rohan.

Thx Rohan to have clear this situation professionaly.

I did'nt want to sound accusative but you know, since i knew you read the forum...one can be afraid for money sent, nothing wrong.
And another one can feel accusate in the end, even if it was not my intention and you had understandable reasons to not answer mails in the past weeks.

A fact is i do not master english language, so sorry if it sounded accusative.
I was afraid, and mpc-forum was a solution to talk to you since mail server went down, nothing more.

Kind Regards
