SAVING SOUNDS ON MPC FROM TRITON

THE PROBLEM THAT I HAVE IS THAT I USE MY TRITON STRICTLY FOR THE SOUNDS AND USE THE MPC AS MY SEQUENCER,ETC. THE THING IS THAT WHEN I SAVE MY SEQUENCES IN THE MPC, EITHER IM SAVING IT WRONG OR IT'S ONLY LETTING ME SAVE IT AS A MIDI FILE ON MY ZIP DRIVE. SO I ALWAYS HAVE TO LOAD UP THE SOUNDS IN MY TRITON AND THEN LOAD THEM FROM THE ZIP IN THE MPC. IS THERE A WAY THAT WHEN I FINISH A SONG CAN I JUST SAVE THE WHOLE SONG SOUNDS,SEQUENCES,ETC ON MY ZIP DISK IN THE MPC SO THAT I DONT HAVE TO LOAD UP THE SOUNDS ON THE TRITON OR CAN I JUST LOAD UP MY ZIP DISK IN THE MPC OR DO I HAVE TO INDIVIDUALLY SAMPLE THE SOUNDS IN THE MPC AND SAVE THEM?

don't know exactly how the Triton works but I use a Korg Trinity (should be pretty similar) and I initially had the same problem. In step edit you can assign the msb and lsb via control changes:

1. Select step with F1
2. Go to insert and use wheel to scroll to program change and hit do it
3. Put the number of the sound from the Triton into the spot for program (should currently say 1, but remember the mpc midi pgm number will be 1 up from your triton[ sound 51=pgm 52 on mpc])
4. Now hit insert again and scroll to get to control change and hit do it.
5. select control change #01 or MSB (because all of the sounds from the Trinity internally come from one sound card the MSB can more than likely remain at zero[default]).
6. Repeat step 4 and then select control change #32 which is LSB. This controls the bank number that the sound is in. If you have a bank A,B,C,D, and E the lsb's will be 1,2,3,4 and 5 (or 0,1,2,3 and 4)respectively. So find out which bank the sound is in on the Triton and program that info here accordingly. Now when you save your sequences all of the alterations in step edit will be recalled so that you don't have to save the sounds on the Triton also. I used to keep a disk for sounds used on my Trinity and a disk for the actual sequenced info for the mpc and this got way to hectic so....I hope this helps some. If there is anything you don't understand still just let me know...
by the way, you will still have to have the output source for the Triton souns on because the sound production still comes from the Triton, but all midi messages are controlled via the mpc. So...just make sure that the Triton is in sequencer mode during playback from the mpc.
