Any updates coming from Akai in the near future

I have the 2500 and I know the JJOS is the best so they say but will there be an update anytime soon from akai?

They need to stand by there product..

I'm with you on this one, because its supposed to be the 'platinum producer' but feels more like about to be discontinued

The 2500 is damn good but the 5000 is getting all the attention.

not even the MOD knows?

I feel you, but let me say that I've been using the Mpc 2500 for about 2 1/2 years and I just recently made the switch to the FREE JJOS. The free JJOS is light years ahead of anything that you will ever see from AKAI. I had my doubts in the JJOS but now I'm so happy I made the switch......Chopping is a thousand times better, MTC sync works fabulously and there are just a lot of other little things that make the JJOS the best way to go,....and I'm only speaking about the free version, one day I'll have to pay the money and get the full version, but for now the free version is where it's at. Just my 2 cents.

Akai never makes haste when it comes to os upgrades. Even if the 2500 was still akai's 'flagship' mpc. Like the 5000. That's why it's getting all the attention.
If ur looking for upgrades u'd better check the JJOS.

I saw they did an upgrade within the last 3 or 4 months,im not sure if it was any thing major but many of the guys on this forum had been saying they were done with upgrades for the 25 almost a year ago but ive seen atleast 3 since then.I remember and noticed the upgrades because i got a bit nervous being a first time mpc owner but they seem 2 keep them coming from time to time. i havent tried any of the jj op. systems

JJOS will make your work flow alot smoother.
