How to convert larger wav into 16 bit wav using Audacity?

What do you suggest I use to sample it into my MPC2000?

I thought using an external usb floppy drive was the best way of transfering wav files/sample nto the mpc2000. Can you pleas give me an alternative then for taking my wav from pc into mpc2000?
