Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By doh Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:48 am
Whats up, i recently ordered some new buttons and decided that i want to paint my 2000xl, my question is what would be the best way to put the lettering back on my Mp.
So far from searching these boards people have used a few methods and i was wondering if anyone else has gotten around to doing this particularly to the 2000xl,

is there any lettering kits that people recommend or diy methods that people have used that seem to work best ?

I would leave it without lettering but i kinda like subconsciously for some things

any ideas would be appreciated

one.

for sure man let me know how you get on with that,do you know by any chance if that is just a a giant clear decal sheet that you have to put on in one go or can it be cut up ?

yeah screen printing would be the way to go but it costs in labor and setup and seeing as its a "one off" job screen printing places tend to wanna charge to make it worth doing the job in the first place

i might look around more, does any one know of those letter transfer kits that people use ?

anyway thanks for the replies

peace

Ok, here's a rough draft.

Give me a couple weeks to Skew and scale it, and test fit it...... can't get to it right now

my 4000 template is almost done, actually I think it's perfect, but I haven't even started this one yet, just extracted channels

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b165/ ... mplate.jpg

If someone wants to finish it go ahead, I'm more concerned with the 4000 one and other projects right now.

I can guarantee that for the most part it will not be scale, and not sure if photobucket jacked it up more.

Some of the image needs to be cleaned up, and it might need to be skewed, but until I get to it, here's a start for you if you want,

yeah I just looked, photobucket seems to have jacked it up even worse

Oh well, I'll get to it,

I think you'll all like what I did with the 4K one, it's fresh, pretty stock, just helped clean it up a bit, more streamlined

ok exact replica one sheet black or white text is around 60

replica any other single color(including original colors) 70

replica multi color your choice(including original colors)80

replica screen printed directly onto your machine is 120 black or white only(including red akai in top corner)

decals are 3m vinyl
computer printed
laminated(for lifetime look)
crystal clear

the screen printing process is self explanatory except he runs his screen printing shop through a window tint/automotive shop and has his screen printed items(that are good for it) clear coated crystal clear for that same (lifetime look)

i understand the prices are high but you will get what you pay for.....im going to post a huge thread as soon as i get my xl back together and im having the face screen printed, maybe with a twist..not sure,,it'll be a surprise..but hold off off if interested untill you see my thread...k thanx!!!
