A couple of questions on the 2000...

while im still saving money im still trying to decide what mpc to buy i was thinking about the 2000 because they are pretty cheap to come by but i had a couple of quick questions.... since there is no folder structure how do u organize your sounds? I also heard that the 2000 dosnt except wav files, how would i convert my 15 gigs of drums from wav to whatever the 2000 excepts? And lastly since there is no timestrech how do producers fit samples to different tempos, I kno Premier uses the mpc60 and J Dilla used the mpc3000 both are older machines than the 2000, so how is this done?

On the forums here, we've said time and time again that os170 on 2k added the ability to load wavs, do a search, you'll find many threads discussing it and everything else you asked.

15gb won't fit inside the 2k, lol. Use a batch audio converter, find one, google around.

Timestretch isn't the only way to "fit" samples. Tune, chop were used on the older mpc's OR, maybe a true sampler rack something something, cause we all know older mpc's aren't full fledged samplers.
