Keyboard Midi Out to MPC In
MPC Out to Motif In

I can play module sounds on the pads but not the keys.

If I hook it up like this I can play the keys but it does not record.

Keyboard Midi Out to Motif In
Motif Out to MPC In (I know this isnt right but I did it)

I know plenty of people have the same set up. I have been searching like a mofo but havent found the answer yet.

I have gone midi out from my keyboard to midi in on the motif rack and can hear the keys that i play on the keyboard through the headphones. im pretty sure that its sending midi.

if i go Midi out from keyboard to Midi in on the motif, and them midi out from motif to midi in on the mpc, i can play the keys that way but i cant record.

i dunno man. im stumped.

I hooked up my SH-201 as a controller and got it to work. I guess my Oxygen 49 wasnt cuttin it. Im good to go now. Thanks for your help.

I am having the same exact problem Frozen, except with my usb keyboard...I know its not the MPC or the cables or my interface for that matter. Everytime I play the keys and try to record the midi signal nothing happens but if I play the sounds from the pads I can record it. someones gotta have the answer to this help!
