You can do this in Trim Mode while the sequence is playing.

Oh, thank you! I'll try that tonight. I'd like for it to be recorded as part of a sequence, too. :)

The Elektron boxes I used to have would handle this using their "parameter locks".

i was thinking maybe with the addition of virtual banks (4dahaterz idea)like what roger linn did for the 3000 or/and 96 to 128 keys per keygroups u could get a few more sounds in the 5000(96 to 128 keys in a key group,96 to 128 sounds per key)so those extra sounds would fit .i know they cant add physical banks but this would be a great work around for 4000 users, thx

If MPC 5000s sampler section has most of the parameters in the synth. It even has some the synth doesn't have. If there is a specific synth parameter that the sampler section doesn't have...please discuss.

Also, for the sake of the 4000 users that wanna crossover... Modulation Matrix and Q-link sequence 8) with OS 2.... and if you dont mind, a Grammy, a chick that looks like Beyonce wit an A$$ like Buffy the Body, a half gallon of Crown Royal, and a Million Dollars.... Thanks Akai

Ergonomically and conveniently placed controllers for sample manipulation is where i'm coming from on this one.
( Having the control rotaries and sliders immediately accessible via the synth control layout ). Of course there are similar parameters for the samples but they are on several pages with controls that necessitate rotation of a single data entry wheel. If the samples had the same assignation as the synth engine it would provide uniformity and convenience for the user throughout the machine. Who knows in the future we may have cross- modulated oscillators and the samples would fit nicely into this regime.Even wavetables of samples could be built on the synth pages - who knows ?

I would like the ability to save Q-Link settings, so that they can be loaded as needed. It makes sense, if I'm taking the time to configure twelve controls, associating CC parameters with each, that's not something I want to have to redo. "Entire Memory" isn't a granular enough method of saving these settings. Thanks!

Definitely more type-specific saving options are needed!

I agree with you 1000%

I would really like the Sample/Keygroup program pages to look exactly like the Synth Pages with full Q-link controls. The have approx the same number/type of parameters so this could be very possible.

Here is a quick plug for my product request:

Dont know if this has been said or noted... but we should be able to update the OS from the HD instead of Comact Flash Card only
