? for anyone who cares to answer. Just got the s950 and I am trying to use the 3k to trigger the sounds on the s950. I have managed to assign the sample(s) to a keygroup but when I play the sample on the 3k I hear it on all 16 pads within every bank(A,B,C,D). I would like to hear it on a specific pad that I choose similiar to how it is done once a sample is taken on the 3k. I think the assignment lies in the keygroup but I am not sure how you go about assigning. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. And please save the sarcasm if you can help-then help if you cant thats all good as well, if you dont want to help them KIM-keep it moving.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Peace!

Well if you set the low and the hi key of the keygroup to the same (Prg Edit page 05) it should work.
If it doen't work it could be that the Pads of your 3000 are all assigned to the same note. Check the Note Assign per Pad on your MPC but I dont know where to find it in the 3000 I got the 2000.

Good looking on the advice Pete. I will give it a shot and see what gives. Also, thanks for the heads up with the link as well. And an xtra special shout for giving a straight answer and not beating around the bush or being sarcastic. Thats what forums are supposed to be about. ~1~

you should also make sure that your pads midi note numbers are all in order, which will make it a lot easier when assigning keygroups to pads.
