maybe its just me,but i had fruity loops, and a couple other beat making programs that i cant even remember, and i couldnt figure them out for 5hit,,so i went out and bought a korg padkontrol and used ableton live or whatever its called,,and same thing,failure.lol....remind you there is big breaks in between buying these programs and hardware,,i just have beats running through my head all day,and i want to hear them from another resource,if you get my drift i.e. speakers........in other words i was fiending to hear my own beats.....so i went and bought a mpc,,,again failure,,,,,ok but heres where it changes,,,,,i probably could have learned all of those programs but my problem was i just wanted to hear beats,,so with that being said,i spent well over enough money by this time that i was getting frustrated,,so what i did was start reading the manual and messing with the mpc at the same time,,,,now ive put hours upon hours of reading and hands on learning at the same time. and i finnaly figured it out!!!

i guess what im saying,is if you want to put in the time of reading and learning you can be successfull at what ever you choose but dont think its just gonna come natural,,

p.s.
now that ive gone through all that equipment and programs and 5hit,im so glad i ended up NOT getting rid of the mpc as i find it the easiest to use,,but read the first four words of my post!!!!

It's not necesarry to have a midi keyboard if u want to use reason. But life is much easier if u have one.

But u can pick one up for 45 euro's. Yeah, it costs money, but it's a smart investment, since u probably gon need one anyway when u have an mpc
