How many samples can MPC1000 accept in Song Mode ?

I've been having problems lately when trying to convert my sequences in song mode. I realize that for all sequences the tracks must be lined up exactly the same because this is the only way the MPC can read it (referring to the 1st sequence). My question is how can it convert correctly if you are using multiple samples because even if all the tracks are lined up correctly, at least a couple of tracks might have different samples on them then the 1st sequence. Otherwise you'd be limited to just using one sample for your whole song?

this makes no sense... maybe you mean programs?

What u need is:

The same programs on the same tracks. (If u use the program "drums" on track 1 in sequence 1, u'll have to do the same thing in sequence 2, 3, 4 and so on.)

Muted tracks will be unmuted.

yeah i meant programs, i called up akai and apparently no mpc is capable of supporting multipe programs on different tracks in song mode. It will only support whats on the first sequence as far as playing it back, so you have to record everything else live.

No, u just have to order the programs to the same tracks in all the sequences.

Like:

Sequence 1:
Track 1-5 program drums
Track 6 program bass
Track 7-10 program samples
Track 11 program organs

You'll just have to order it up the same way in sequence 2.
You still can put other programs on, just on tracks that are unused in sequence 1.

This won't limit you at all?

haha yeah sorry its kind of confusing the way i worded it, yes you are correct you have to have the same setup of program in all sequences, tracks 1-5 drums tracks 6-7 bass, 8-10 samples, on all your sequences. What im saying is that EVEN if you have the same setup of programs in all ur sequences when you convert to song mode, it only refers to the first sequence. For example if you record one sample and put that on track one, sequence one (MAking it sample 1). THen you decide you want another sample, so you go record it and make it sample 2. EVEN if you put sample 2 on track one of the 2nd sequence, it will only play back sample one, because it just refers to the 1st sequence. The MPC's dont support multiple samples basically when converting in song mode is what im saying.

That's strange. I often have like recorded on track 1 sequence 1 7 different sample and on track 1 sequence 2 10 other samples. And when I convert it into a song, it stays the way it was. But I think I just don't understand it. But well maybe someone else can help you
