So i have a midi keyboard linked up, i assign my sample using Auto Chromatic Assignment, the mpc records my chords, lovely.
Now i try to assign the chord sequance to one of the 4 outs to the mixer but it dosn't seem to work ?
Tried it with samples that havn't been played through keyboard, i.e drums, and i could assign it say output 1 no worrys, is this just not possible to do or am i missing (more then likely) something really simple !?

Thanks i advance

Sounds to me like your chords are played in the keyboard and not from the mpc. If this is so then you need to understand that midi is data only. If the sound you want to hear is on the keyboard then the audio out from the keys needs to go to the mixer. And it is not assignable from the mpc. Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.

Well i have recorded the chord pattern into the mpc, so in affect the sound is now in the mpc and not actually coming from the keyboard during playback ?
Strange though as i've never incounted this before until i installed jjos.
I could simply choose a channel and have said sound going into say channel 1 on the mixer no probs, maybe i have to turn something on or off in jjos ?
I'll keep trying until i suss something out.

I geuss i could try do it the way you suggested.

Thanks
Rich

Thanks for the reply !
Yeah but for some reason once a note has been assigned to a midi keyboard and then a sequance/pattern is recorded back into the mp i can't assign it to one of the outs.
I've tried all 4, nothing.

I'm sure it's just something simple, like something has been turned off or on but i'm yet to find what.

..have you assigned a program to the track and samples to the program, i.e. are you actually playing samples from inside the MPC, or are you playing back the midi only, without playing samples?

YES, samples from the mpc.

What JJOS are you running?

When you record these "sounds" into the MP are you then creating a program with them? I may be reading this wrong, or this is something that is over my head at this point.. But I thought you could only assign to specific outs if the sounds were assigned to specific pads.

I am keeping an eye on this thread... I learn so much from other experiences on this site it is amazing....
