Even being on the road i have to reply to this bs.
You telling me that you worry about display instead of making beats. That's another reason you shouldn't make beats at all.Not only you anybody who has issue with fuking display. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. DISPLAY ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW.
GOD HELP HIP-HOP.

Listen, I said "another reason", not "the reason"

"the reason" is that it doesn´t have zoom to auto chops, chop-overlapping, or anything that could help me chop my samples without taking a month.

 you need to be worried before you cant see $hit.... I worked wit my 2000XL for 5 years with a lined up @ss screen before it finally went out during an important session, before it was replaced... This screen looks as if it costs more then the now $200 2000XL MPC screen. And I dont wanna replace another one in less then a year before the machine has even been out.

Zoom for chops is coming in OS2. 'Chop-overlapping" is something I would like to see in the future. I talked about this in the feature request threads and several others. Until then, I use 'Extract' function which takes seconds to do. I have been using this function for chopping samples for 12 years on MPCs that have significantly less features than the 5K.

The same thing happens with the screen on my Fusion but I think the heat may have something to do with it. Not a show stopper for me.

I have that lighter area on my screen also, but frankly and i give a rats arse. I hear alot of smack about the 5K but i have not had any problems with it whatsoever. being that i work without a daw or outboard gear i find it being the best "in the box" production machine yet (for the price at least)

Yeah, the screen isn't that big of a deal to me.

I did have the 5k freeze up on me for the first time last night. I can honestly say it was the first time ever having an MPC lock up on me to the point I had to power down. The record and play buttons were stuck on & the unit wouldn't play or change modes. I was hitting mad buttons getting around on the machine so I hope that was a freak incident.

Report any issues you have in the Bug Report Threads.

the number of times a vst-plugin or even a complete computer frooze up upon me are countless...
if the 5K freezes from time to time, we should stress akai to have a rockstable OS.
They shouldn't put their MAX efforts in "bell and whistle" things...
