The problem with you guys that choose the 1000....is you can't stand the fact that people could afford an MPC that you feel isn't worth the price. Get over it. A lap top plus a 1000? I would rather own a laptop and an MPC 2500...I would rather own a laptop and an MPC 3000....hell, a lap top, MPD 24, and software.....

Until you get over the fact that the MPC 2500 was/is worth its $1600 price tag....you will continue to be frustrated.

have to agree... the mpc1000 only true competition is the 2500. to compare the 1k to a 4000 is like boxing mike tyson.

Akai didn't create MPCs to compete with one another.

MPC 2500, full featured professional model geared to replace my 3000. 1000, for home studio's on a budget (the first affordable MPC).

That's what's up!

I think the main problem here is:
What type of comparison chart we are talking about here?

A Hardware or a Software comparison chart. My intenttion for the manual was to create the latter about the AKAI os vs JJ OS, because in terms of hardware such a comparison chart is totally useless IMO.

Well d0h. I didn't remember that you had some freaky hardware transformation after installing the JJ os(well that would be kinda cool, some kind of mpc1000 transformer wich allows you to transform it to a mpc500 for on the road or to a mpc4000 for serious heavy work).

Anyway, Maybe we should make a whole new comparision chart with only the mpc4000/mpc2000xl/mpc2500/mpc1000 wich is specified on OS featurues..

After that, i'm gonna print it on a tshirt and give it to jahrome (L)

i had an idea how bout just makn a comparison chart of jjs mpcs and akais mpcs the akai version is already made for us all we need is a jj comparison chart with the akai mpc.. atleast i think this be funny.. we can see mpc1000 comparing itself with akai os and jj os. you know? or 2500 akai os compared with the jj 2500 os

no point...by the time you're done putting together the pdf, jj will already have added maybe 5 or 6 new features which no other mpc has

hounestly why do you "waste your time" posting in the 1k forum go home to your 25k forum, if anything you make yourself look like a insecure 25k user that is constanly comenting on the 1k in a negative way,

Remember these are just MACHINES, TOOLS which only reveal their value - and I don't mean material value here - by the "magic" you - as HUMANS - put into them by creating music with them.. nahmmean?
