Just got my brand new MPC 1000 and got a brand new
Kingston ValueRAM 256MB 144-Pin SO-DIMM PC 133 Notebook Memory. When i installed it and turned on the mp it got to 75% then i got a memory failed error. I took out the ram and reinstalled it several times. Do i need to install that jjos program to get my ram to work? What should i do?

I got mine off ebay from a great seller. If you email him that it's for an MPC, he will guarantee the stick for you. He worked with me until we found the perfect match.

seller name: 99lucky99
email: [email protected]
piece: 256MB PC133 Laptop Memory SDRAM SODIMM RAM 133 256 PC
sale price: $29.99

I'm extremely satisfied.

I'm very new to mpc's. I just bought a mpc500 but the factory ram is insufficient.
The above posts have been very helpful in choosing new ram. I found this expansion - Kingston 256MB Memory PC133 144-pin SODIMM - at Buy.com but it is missing the 'cl3' (from what Penfold's first post mentioned)
My question is, will this Kingston ram work or should I keep looking. If it doesn't, has anyone found any good sites?

thanks

From Ebay...

just look and be patient if you can, you may find one cheaper than mine.

as simple is that mate.. to work with a bigger quantity of samples.. or, make your sequence as a sample you wouldn't manage that untill you've got 16MB of RAM.. isn't it??
