HEY EVERYONE I AM GETTING AN MPC1000 I HAVE BX8'S A STANTON STR8 100. BUT MY ? IS THIS," (1)SHOULD I GET AN "ASR-10" OR AN "MOTIF" OR AN "SOUND MODULE" SINCE I ALREADY HAVE MIDI KEYBOARD.(2)ONCE I GET EVERYTHING SETUP WHAT WILL I NEED TO BURN THE COMPLETED TRACKS TO CD MY PLAN IS TO SEND SOUNDS TO THE 1000 FROM WHATEVA I GET THEN MAKE THE SONG IN THE 1000 BUT I DONT KNOW TO DO AFTER THAT!!!!! I.E. ONCE THE SONG I S DONE HOW DO I BURN TO CD. DO I SEND IT TO CPU VIA 1000 OR DO I NEED SOMETHING ELSE? ANY AND ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT

You can either get a multitracker with cd burning capabilities,

or get some kind of recording software like Pro Tools, Cooledit (adobe audition), or Soundforge and mix the file down to a wave and burn it to cd. If you choose this route youd better get a good soundcard geared towards music recording or a USB/Firewire device.

Soundcards go from $150 to $1000+, depending on how many inputs you need, brand and quality of AD converters etc.

oops my bad about the caps everyone thanx for the info though how much for an multitrack though and how many channels must i have i.e. the least amout of channels possible i amjust making beats ro recording thanx a bunch

The number of channels depends on the number of sources that you would like to record simultaneously. If you dont mind having to play and replay your beats in order to record the tracks, you can get by with less. If you want to record as many tracks as possible in less takes, get a multitracker or recording device with as many inputs as you can afford. I have an mbox which only has 2 inputs, meaning that I'm limited to recording two tracks at the same time. I record 2, then the next 2, then the next 2, and so on.

The mbox is a multitrack soundcard and software for your computer, if your computer has a cd burner then you are straight.

Hmmm.. technically it's not really a sound card. More of an audio interface
