"I dont have my manual anymore "

You have a computer right? http://www.akaipro.com

Otherwise just look through the forums for an answer to the recording question since it gets asked at least once every day. And more often in the Newbie fourm.

The first thing you asked is possible - you can always record the audio on a PC and convert to MP3 - it's possible in the audio domain, it's WAV recording from soundcard, the way you would record any audio. That's not the MPC1000's problem, try your soundcard manual, or the WAV software manual.

But I'm not sure what you mean by this:

If you just want to capture the result in audio form, you just hit Play on the MPC and record it on the PC.

But if you're talking about transferring your work to the PC to edit it further, it gets awkward. You can export a MIDI file, but that only stores note numbers, it doesn't communicate what that means on the MPC1000.
You can use a soft sampler like NI Battery to emulate the MPC1000 on the PC, so that the samples play back right, but it's not automatic, you have to set it up yourself.
