when I load the program I get an error, 'no sound driver available for use'. when I load a pgm file I get 'stream read error'.

By pumalicious Sun Mar 27, 2005 5:44 pm
ok, I was able to fix the sound problem but I still get this streaming error when I load a pgm file that I created using MPCEditor v3. The pgms that came with the akai loads fine.

Also can you add a function to the program that will auto assign samples to the pads that are contained in a directory.

MPCEditor creates programs for other MPCs, but not the MPC1k specifically. BlueBox can only work with MPC1k format PGM files and AKPs, so that would explain the error when loading MPCEditor PGM files.

Wax, you are single handedly keeping me from selling my mpc1k and moving things into my laptop. You make it too easy to build samples of gear (especially chromatic gear) in my studio so my travel rig is far lighter. Muchas Gracias.

cheers wax,
you are the man as usual. Did you have a look at the problem a few users (including myself) had with bluebox...i.e when assigning samples to the pads all the pads in all the banks, when loading into the mpc, some samples from banks c&D would be missing?

I'm gonna check out this new version. Well dne dude

ps. possible suggestion for next update: maybe there could be a button to put the pads into "audition mode" so that you don't have to hold down the "ctrl" key in order to hear the samples assigned to a particular pad?

top program dude.many thanx

Users: What do you think about this suggestion? Would you prefer putting the pads into an 'audition mode' to play them rather than holding down a hotkey when clicking to play them?

I like the idea of hitting the pad and playing the sample by default. Also I am not sure if this feature in the program but can it export all the samples along with the PGM files to a directory of choice?

This way if one wants the can contain the kit they just created in its own folder.

Use the 'Save All...' command to save the PGM and all samples to a folder you specify.

you may also want to implement the ability to use the 1000 as a trigger, or other midi controllers for that matter. I also have the mpd-16, and I could use that to sample the pads in bluebox.
