Small tips for noobies that have a copy of Ableton Live series.
Just a small reverse engineering bits (on my part) with some features and tips learned on Live that you can reduplicate back on your 4k.
And I got alot of ideas just on the process of creating sounds and arrangement. Just a way of thinking (like the Djing duo Monolake creators were sitting next to you giving out step by step lessons).
Though I use Ableton Live 4 Power Series and Ableton videos as guides.
Even though Live 5 is fun and alot of features are automated it still crashes when I have too many midi instruments (not loops) going which my trusty 4k hardly ever does.
2 Examples of psuedo reseverse engineering;
One in the new Audio Effects section of Live 5 several group effects settings are available which I learn the settings and replicate on the 4k.
Two the inspector synth has step by step instructions on how to build various drum sounds using synthesis that can be replicated on the 4k.
True that you have to do more work on the 4k but it just an reminder that Live 4 / 5 softwared are emulators of previous hardware equip with the settings that the Monolake guys used in their sets when they played. Not many designers give out their secrets on sound designing.
Check it out yrs of experience with this guys. Your choice but read first to understand the concepts. A tip to point you in some helpful directions, not food to use. Food for thought.
Summer2000 seems very experience break it down some more.
Take care
Remember this is just an idea, opinion not truth test it if you have the software in many ways better than the manual cuz its about tips and techniques right?
