Trouble with Sync to cubase

i used the search and found some stuff. a wicked video by one of the guys on the board here. But i am still having problems getting my mpc to sync to cubase SX. All my audio sends are working properly. i can't seem to get it to sync using MIDI.

Gear:
- Cubase SX
- MPC 2000 XL
- M-Audio Uno 1x1 USB midisport

the first thing i did was press Shift + 9 on the MPC and setup the MPC as follows:

Sync In
- In: 1 (midisport cable labeled "to midi in" is plugged into this port on the back)
- Mode: Midi Time Code
- Frame Rate: 25
- Receive MMC: on

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and... yes the midisport works... i was using it last night to plug my keyboard into cubase

Try different things in the MPC and Cubase...for me, that setup on the MPC MIDI synch screen desnt work, I have to have it on MIDI clock...just keep messing with it, it'll get frustrating but once you get it to work, it will be that much better. Peace...
