Sampling with a CD player

I just got my kingston RAM today so im gonna start sampling. I read in the manual and it said to hook up external device to record in and if it connection doesnt fit, to get an adapter.

Since a reg phone jack for a CD player wont fit in the rec in, Can I connect it to the Digital IN? If i cant, What adapter do i need for it to fit in the Rec in?

no you cant use the digital input unless your cd player has a digital output and you have a digital cable to connect the two

what you need is a pair of these (rca jack to quarter inch)
