saving sequences?

Thank you guys for helping me through the setup process. I finally can sample from my turntable

I have one more problem. I've been trying to save sequences to a floppy disc and when i try to load the sequence back onto the mpc, there is no sound. All the information is there and the sequence is playing back on the screen but no sound comes out?

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I must be saving it wrong?

you have to save and load both your sequences and your samples. did you load up your samples? did you save them before you shut your mpc down?

what i did was:

First i chopped up a sample and assigned different parts to the pads
Then i loaded some drum sounds on other pads. From there i made a 4 bar loop with both drums and sample together?

If i did mess up by doing this, how did i mess up. And is there anyway to still save the sequence?

i havent turned the mpc off yet....so my sequence is still on there. I just dont want to shut it off until i know for sure it can be saved?

aahh ok. well you need to save your sequence files and your samples files before you do. i dont have a 2000 so i dont know if you can do the same on it, but on my 1k i just use the 'save the entire project' option (which saves all the samples and sequence files at the same time ton one place). but like i said i dont have the 2000, so cant tell you how to check whether or not its been saved correctly. but as long as you save your sequence file and samples you should be ok (i think).

.. also, make sure you save your program file as well

ok, i got each sound saved individually but I was hoping to save the entire sequence so i don't have to go and make it again.

You mentioned programs. Do i need to make a program for the entire sequence or each individual sound. Could you tell me how to do this cause i've been checking the manual for the 2000 and i thought i was following it properly, but i still need to save the entire sequence and i cant figure it out

a program if the information about which sample is assigned to which pad and how that the how sample plays once triggered (start/end points, layers, one shots...)

sorry, i cant tell you exactly how to save that infomation cos i dont have a 2000. but just go to you save page a see if there is an option for saving your program... i maybe wrong, and it maybe called something diff on the 2000. so hopefully someone else will jump in and help you out with this. should be in the manual tho.

save ALL.
*cannot read folder on 2k classic.
*APS will also save all the samples.
