I get that from time to time, other people have also stated they had random pops in previous threads
others dont even notice it cuz they only use the machine for midi
I dont think anyone has pinpointed the cause though

are you using analog, or digital outputs?
if using digital, it is vital that you sync the digital signal

sadly i think everyoine seeing these issues are using the analog outputs so clocking has nothing to do with it. if only it were that simple :/

I've got this behaviour on a brand new 2500. No new ram or hard disk installed. Sound Control have said they will swap it for another, so i'll report back if I see any difference.

I cut off all Master affects and the problem still persists. I wonder what AKAI has to say about this.....

Yeah I was trying to track some beats yesterday and was getting random pops here and there Totaly random not clipping either just random pops. Man you can't win with this thing, anyone getting better sound out of the Digital output? I only tracked out of the main outs whats the deal with the rest of the outputs pops there too?

Aiight, I have noticed this same dilemma! I don't remember it happening with the previous OS. I hope there is a fix soon. I've tried different things but what I have resorted to is recording 2 or 4 measure loops into my VS2480 and then just copying and pasting to create a song. I have to keep on playing and replaying tracks to avoid the pops. If I find a fix, I will post as I am sure everyone else will if they also find.

....uhhh thats kind of scary. I havent heard any pops except for when I put 2 samples together and they clash with eachother and distort or "pop". Does it do it when the mpc isn't on "Play"?

It is a bit scary. It only does it when the mpc is playing, but it's definately not "clashing samples".

It's totaly random It won't happen in the same spot twice. anyone tried the other outputs yet? I bet the SDIF out is tight.

no hurt meant at all
but please, theres a whole nother long thread on
this, its in a post near the top of this thread
aswell.
on that thread apparently It comes out both
analogue and digital to answer your question.
i personally do not have this problem.
