What to do with 2 MPCs??

I'm buying an MPC2500 but I still have my trusty MPC2000 (albeit with a screen with lines) and I was just wondering if there is anything you can do with 2 MPCs?? Can you hook up together and do something cool or should I just try to sell my MPC2000?? Thanks!!

Yeah u can hook them up via MIDI. Its alot of industry producers who use more than one mpc. Or you could keep it cause its a classic or sale it.

but what would be the advantage of having them hooked together...wouldn't it be the same amount of MIDI channels cause it only has 2 and one would have to be coming in to it to control it so that wouldn't make much difference...I guess you could have 16 assignable outs..lol...what else could I do????

Man u could sample alot more of shit and have the 2500 controlling the 2000, u could have more drums, ect...

Its a bunch u can do its just a matter of will u benefit from it.

yeah I could sample more things but with the 128 megs of RAM on the 2500 I doubt I'd need anymore...hmmmm...what could I do with 'em both??

you could use the sequencing of the 2k classic since you are probably used to it more and then use the more advanced sampler of the 2500.

make beats with yer 2000 then smaple them further into the 2500 for more editing.

the possibilities are really just up toyou but no i dont think there is any 'this is what you do with two mpcs' trick. :\

With the new features, RAM, etc on the 2500, you really have no need for the 2k in terms of production. It just makes loading things up twice as much work. If you plan to play live, its a different story. Allows you to be able to bounce back between the two like turntables. I had 2 XLs like this for a while, but did eventually realize it was overkill and got rid of one.

yeah I'm gonna put a brand new LCD screen in it and sell it on ebay...it'll be under filter_fanatic if anybody is interested...it's fully maxed and taken excellent care of!!
