What up,
What's the different between the two?

I just bought the 500, and I'm now thinking about returning it for the 1000, because I simply hate how you cannot get the same views for TRIM Mode, is that the only difference between the two?

Peace Weiners.

depends whats important to u. i had the 500 for a couple weeks and returned it cause the tiny screen make u scroll around too much to get to everything like the 1000 displayes a lot more one each screen and has dedicated soft bottons makin the editing, assigning and stuff a lot faster. plus i didnt like how u have to hit the pads real hard to get them to respond. but i still think its a dope lttle box, but if i had to choose one id go withe 1000

If you want features, get the 1k.

If you want portability, get the 500

Its all priorities.

like some one said a while back the 500 runs off battiers and every other mpc has to be plug up so how portable is the 1000 if you cant find a jack! Every mpc is portable but not portable and useable at the same time like the 500.

If you like to make your beats in the rain/subway/studyhall/train/airplane/park/car, for approx. 6 hrs. then i would go with an mpc 500. i played with it and its an mpc to me! hate the screen tho.

however with the new 4.xx updates done by the incredible force known as the JJ...

Your right. Unless you get your 500 for $599 or less you may as well get the 1000 which has a little more to offer Like room for a hard drive and shyt like that. It matters.

Who can break down the real functional difference between the two. Here is what I understand to be the physical feature differences:

500 PROS:
* battery operated
* solid single sheet pad design
* smaller, more portable

1000 PROS:
* 16 pads vs. 12
* More audio and MIDI I/O
* 2 Q-link faders

So, outside of those differences, what can the 1000 really do differently as far as functionality is concerned? Many thanks in advance to whoever can help me out.
