try this ..

using OS 3.06
LOAD a sample onto a pad (a kick is a good example)

1. FULL LEVEL = OFF
2. PAD sensitivity = 6 velocity = D
3. sample ATTACK = 100
4. tap the pads with slight pressure not much (for a softer sound)

sounds how I expect it to in loudness

BUT

1. set TC to 1/16
2. press PLAY
3. hold NOTE REPEAT
4. tap the pads with same slight pressure not much (for a softer sound)

EVERYTHING sounds FULL LEVEL !

I believe this is a bug

Hasn't happened to me, but when you go into note repeat, the pads play at a higher velocity than when not in note repeat.

maybe you can set a slider to velocity to compensate.

i understand but , am I correct in saying it shouldnt be happening in the first place ?

have you tried using the same settings ?

what OS are you using ?

i haven't looked at my pad sensitivity for awhile, but I've recorded in note-repeat pleny of times, and it works the same way it always has. i'm on 4.42.
Maybe it's just something you need to get use to... how long have you had your mpc 1k for?
Personallly I wouldn't want to to have to apply the same amount of pressure in note repeat as when not in note repeat, also it would probably be hard on the pads to have to put a lot of weight on them. But i'm still able to get low note velocities when pressing gently in note-repeat.

"Please explain what you mean by human error ?"

take a fresh program, fresh track / and i mean really FRESH /without any other settings/ sliders set to off, both. try to recreate your bug once more.
ive tried and i couldnt- thats why.

it might be buggy, but its been like this for ages, u have to be veryvery much more gentle to hear the pads's sensitivity in repeat/hold.

try this:- set V>start=100 + V>level=0 in amp env - u will hear the difference with more noticabilty (using the sample start set from velocity) - dont ask me why, its just less sensitive, but it is doing the velocity thing on mine. its just a good way to test it if u cant hear velocities probably cos theyre so low (thats why its good to test with the above tryout).

THANKS arebee!

so im not going crazy here . it really has been happening . I will try that ..
Im also thinking of changing the OS from 3.05 > 3.06 what do you think?
