Hi Guys

check this and let me know... i miss something??

i sample a loop from a record.... i would like to play it in loop without keep the fingers on the pad and without sequencing it... just pressing a pad and let the loop on and on.. and maybe with an other pad stop it... i know group and other... but i don't find the way to obtain this...

please help!!!

in the program screen hit the pad it is assigned to and hit the window button. change the selection to one shot instead of note on.

i think even still it will only go 1 time.

unless i'm completely wrong, what you're looking for is a different concept than the mpcs. what you're asking is more the Spx0X series type continuous loop thing, where 1 touch turns it on, and the other turns it off.

what are you trying to accomplish? maybe i can think of a workaround - but it's probably gonna involve the sequencer.

No, that's not what he's after -- he wants his loop to run infinitely after he takes his finger off the pad.

There's only one solution for him -- The infamous Loop & Hold "Glitch" (is it a glitch?)!

I couldn't find the original post on here from the one who found it (it's buried in there somewhere) so I had to dork with the MPC a bit to remember how it worked. Did Stan add it to the manual?

The sample must have "loop on" selected in the trim screen, and "NOTE ON" (not "one shot") selected from the program mode.

Next, go to the main screen and highlight an area that has a numeric value.

Now, press and hold the sample's assigned pad and press the NUMERIC key. Then press any pad with a numeric value.

Now lift your finger off the sample pad. Tada...

I can't believe you cats forgot about this one!

definitely not mpc thing, not a feature, not in manual
some kinda loop&hang:
http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=68713
numeric works in any screen, some other keys can do that also,
but with numeric is quite comfortable cuz ure stayin in the same screen
the most funny thing is u can do reverse (not real reverse) in Trim
while sample's playin. and many more... just experiment

yeah that's what the spx0x's do - unless i'm missing something huge.

ok works perfectly... now it's a real sampler for live shit!!

i see also this in the manual, but here doesn't work (jj4.60)

Tips: If you hold the [ PAD 13] in the TRIM page, the MPC1000 will play back the sample from the start point to the
end point repeatedly (loop playback).Use this function to make sure you set the start and the end points
properly. If you don’t set those points properly, the phrase will not be played off the rhythm.

i check but pad 13 works as the others... but in loop off for example is the only pad that doesn't play sound.... uhmmmm

Thanks again Flam -- It's been awhile since that thread and I couldn't remember the title or who found the extra "feature".

Oh Nym -- you're right about the SP stuff, the "no" was in response to cosy's post. You must have posted while I was still typing and I forgot to use the quote button.
