Do you need a special hard drive for the MPC?

I want to upgrade to a big hard drive. 160 GB for 89 bucks at circuit city was what I was looking at. Now, when I went to a dedicated MPC site, they had this tray that they were installing the hard drive in before inserting it in the MPC.. I'm asking, does that come with the MPC, or do you have to buy a separate tray? My mpc should be coming today

If not stated otherwise, you need to buy it yourself... it's called HDM10. Check compatibility for your desired hard drive from the sticky thread on the main page.

At least 80gig hard drives are confirmed to work with mpc1000 (and I have such myself) so I suggest you educate yourself before buying an incompatible hard drive.

i can confirm that a 120gb works with the mpc 1000

There's a guy on these forums that makes his own hard drive bracket kits. You should check him out. I have begun making the power cords at home, in case anybody is interested.
