Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

no, but if you hit open window with the tuning parameter on the params screen selected you can set an amount of velocity -> pitch. this way the harder you hit the pad the more pitch change you will get. use positive or negative values.

i need to record frequency changes, not tuning or velocity. it's strange that you can record the tuning cahnge and not frequency....i'm so sad

you mean the filter freq? yeah you can change that, assign it to the variation slider. the way the mpc's sampler engine works though, the frequency only affects the sample start, not in mid sample, so you have to retrigger the sample repeated to be able to filter sweep it.

having said that you can also set up filter envelopes that apply to the sample and change it as it plays (with limited control), and that are based on velocity. just hit open window with freq selected on the params screen. probably not quite what you want, but useful anyways.

hmm thanks
i wanted to change the freq setting in program parameter window, but i didn't try the slider thing. i'll check
