Damn it I also bought one of these so-called SD card readers from this ebay seller pro_oem_stereo not too long ago and it did NOT work for me. Also what the seller does NOT tell you is that the sd card reader is NOT HOT SWAP. I do NOT know why I bought this SD card reader and paid more money. I should have stuck to compact flash cards which I know work. These cf cards are still available contrary to what pro_oem_stereo claims. There is another ebay seller that sells ONLY hot swap compact flash card readers and for LESS MONEY! All I had to do was switch to 1.14 operating system on my mpc2000xl and use up to 16gb cf cards and be able to swap. Damn it!! I could not get my money back.
Anyway, I thought would vent and warn other users before buying from this guy.
Hello all,
I am the seller of these drives. I can verify that they do work. Please see the pictures of the MPC2000XL attached to the listing, These pictures were taken with these components hooked up to our shop MPC2000xl using ver.1.2, I do not hide the fact that these are not hot swap, You do not need the hot swap feature unless you are using it live. These cards are 8gb. That is plenty of space for any project.
I only advertise and sell compatible drives. Every drive is built and tested by me personally. See for yourself, I have the highest Feedback ratings, communication and best customer service of any of my competitors on Ebay. These are the facts.
This buyer found these hot-swap drives after he bought this drive from me and wanted to return it. He said "I dont think anything is wrong with it, i just decided to take a different route.. thanks though, "(direct quote) This was a clear case of buyers remorse. His drive works fine. In fact, The pictures of the Drive being recognized on the MPC2000xl in the listing is his drive(the first one I built).
He claimed after that (less than one hour later) it did not work and he has found others with the same drive that said the same( I have only sold one of these) among many other false claims. He then tried to open a case in Paypal saying he never received the package. Paypal or Ebay would not back him because of the lies.
My advice is that: If you are going to take some ones advice make sure that that person is not a complete liar.
Check my feedback, I have sold thousands of drives and helped many musicians(even a few national acts). This buyer has a feedback rating of 4.... Yes 4...
If anyone has any questions with any of my drives, Please contact me on Ebay. Thanks, Joe
