I've had my Mpc 2000 for about 3 years and I still cant find a way of playing it live and it not being the same.
I remember reading "mpc quantize is the best" but mush as I love my Mpc I do'nt think it's any better than some of the other drum machines I've owned.
In fact I prefer Aliesis's old grid format.
There is a few things I'm vague about.
When you change the timing does it move then now, even if your playing in real time?
I often get the "buh" ..of the bud-boom not where I played it. And I've played a drumkit since I was 10 so its not me.
But I've seen people just play a beat and it remaians in time. I have to use 33th and convuluted stuff.. I don't get what is going on. I'd aprieaciate any advive, PEACE GODS!
