Im a Reason 2.5 owner and have been for some time, iv learned sequencing, drum laying, loop splitting etc and you have all the synths, reverbs you could want
the only thing iv been missing so far is being able to put my own samples from my own music collection into what i make and as u can imagine theres not much point eventually you've used all that reason give you built in, but it has helped me learn techniques
to solve my problem i was (and still may) going to buy :-
MPC
MPC hard drive
Synth
Cd deck and mixer
Mixer for everything
Speaker
total cost probs over £1500
Now i learn there is ReCycle for Reason where it can take any sample of music in .wav or .AIFF format, loop any segment and fit it to any bpm rate
and if i bought RealPlayer RadioPass i could upload my entire vinyle and cd collection in either format then could use with Reason
ReCycle is £100
RadioPass is around £100
Plus £100 for a M-Audio MIDI interface to hook my keyboard up to comp
a fraction of the cost of all equip id need for MPC conversion
Iv been looking on these boards for a week trying to learn about MPCs, how they work and how you hook them up to work (instead of just turning on my comp to hook everything up on Reason) and to me its F*$king complicated, full of jargon and letters and numbers, no for real answers and hooking the dam thing up, and use it how you want to sounds like you need a degree in music tech
BASICALLY SUM1 CONVINCE ME IM WRONG BECAUSE WRITING THIS POST HAS ALMOST MADE ME THINK F**K IT AND JUST GET THE STUFF FOR MY COMP
WHAT WILL I BE MISSING EXCEPT A HEADACHE AND A EMPTY WALLET?????
