need help with my scsi

hi just brought my mpc and already stuck....

1)my mpc keeps telling me that the scsi isnt ready?

2)how do i get samples off my laptop onto the scsi

3)can i use mp3s or just waves

i know dont laph,im new to all of this and your help would be much appreciated.... thanx

Are you conneting your laptop to your mpc scsi input?

i dont think you can hook the mpc up to your computer like that..

you need a seperate scsi device like a zip drive or cd rom drive to transfer your sounds...
