HOW DO U MAKE SOUNDS MPC FORMAT ON COOL EDIT OR any software

Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Cool Edit will make wave files that are readable by the MPC2000XL.
Just make sure you are saving as PCM wave files 44.1k and 16bit.
Most audio editors should do this without a problem.
In Cool Edit, press View > Wave Properties > File info to check the format of your file.

If you want to make akai SND files, you will need to convert them using an app like wavsnd which is free from http://www.mpc3000.com/wavsnd.htm or, a more versatile program like "chickensystems Translator" as regular wave editors won't make them.
