maybe im reading too much into it, but digi interface will work with other DAW's outside of Pro Tools

Nah, they will only work with other DAW's rewired into Pro Tools. And the only full feature DAW I know of that rewires into Pro Tools is Reaper, and maybe Ableton. But you can use synths like Reason or SampleTank, as well as Ableton I believe. I don't believe it will work with Reaper or Logic in standalone.

I bought digi 002 rack and run ableton in standalone no problem, homeboy runs fruit loops and reason standalone off digi 03
