jamon is starting to sound like bedouin.
that site of his that you linked to, b.read, is nothing but negativity.
He lists one review while I've read at least three positive reviews of the product on MPC forums. How do you get the product and do a video on the unboxing, but you dont actually review the product?
And here is the summary of "inflict's" review: "i like the idea of what the kangz are trying to do, I just dont like the way they are going about it,, sooo much talk and hype, but the bite is not there yet, hopefully the bite will be in this next update"
Hmm, I have heard very similar things about other piece of software, specifically NI Mashince.
Then he criticizes the fact that the "usb dongle" uses Ilok software but doesnt mention the major development houses also use iLok software. This isnt "SoundSurfer" that they're selling here. They are a corporation and need to protect their profits, just like Motu, Digidesign, Korg, M-Audio, etc. All of these companies use ilok tech.
For a list of developers that use iLok, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ILok#Parti ... protection
For further criticisms of the ilok, follow this link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ILok#Criticisms
As far as the "bullied kid" theory. Aja is a cat who has been present at a few major trade shows, has history with Zoom, and has the clout to start this operation (im guessing on this last part). Not to mention that they have delivered on everything they've said so far. The newsletters were sent out when they said they were going to be sent out. The BTV was released when it was said to be released.
Then we have Jamon, who is a random mpcforums cat who lost whatever business deal he might have had with the beatkangaz. And he released "SoundSurfer" : http://code.jamon.name/p/soundsurfer/
Also, the "beatkangs will sue the shit out you" idea is kinda stretched. Just use their sounds and dont credit them. It's not a big deal. How the **** are they going to find out? Jeez.
In the end, I wish both parties the best of luck and hopefully your day to day thoughts aren't filled with as much bullshit as your posts.
