I've been debating on a new music program. I got magix audio studio that doesn't have any midi tracks and the wave files are killing my memory. I bought a m audio soundcard to upgrade my sound. And use my mpc for making beats. Should I get pro tools or get somethin else.

what exactly do you want to use the software for?

(cos different progs are better at different things)

these are good choices but you can not track your mpc into reason.

Unless you have a couple grand to spend don't even mess with Pro-Tools. It's over rated and over priced.

if you have a pc and not a mac, the free version will only work on win 95/98, not XP. it says so on digidesign's website. and it will be very limited on what it can do but it is not dependent on digi hardware.

Reason - no contest

And Pro Tools isn't really over priced or over rated!! - Superb editing facilities and excellent audio quaility for £339??!! - (LE System - new MBox) - surely thats not to be sniffed at!?
