Tired of hitting your pads?

Just found out this awesome thing! I found out that you can make the mpc trigger a sound when you make a sound with your mouth. You can make some crazyass rhythm's this way. As for example if you go "Brrrrr" in the microphone, the sample goes brrrr. You can actually record this in to a sequence. Nice for drum rolls etc.

Here's what you do.

1. Take a microphone
2. Plug it in to your mixer or preamp to get the signal strength up.
3. Take a cable from the preamp and plug it in to the foot switch jack 1 or 2 in your mpc.
4. Press "mode" and "Pad 10" and go to "other" then select so that foot-switch 1 is to react on for example pad 13 where you have your sample that you want to trigger with your voice.

Press REC and voila!

Well if you have two mics you can trigger two sounds at them same time. Just no speak in them at the same time.

Its also wicked for off beat snares and stuff.

I know Its like 1/256 note repeat. Try to use the Q-link pitch at the same time with a bass sound. Non OS1.07 pitch bend wee!!!

see with limitations people find way to max hardware out. we dont even need os2, we just need soe creativity...

What kind of cable? 1/4"? From where on my pre-amp? Just off the stereo outs?

jag tror fan det asså, eller jag menade, yeah i think so man. You have got 2 foot ins so that should not be a problem

The main thing is that you have to make the signal strong from your microphone..
But yeah, you only need one cable. So from the L out is good. Or Right if you prefer that.

Could you hook up a microphone directly into the MPC footswitch plug to make this work (via an xlr to jack cable)?

Or would the signal be too low?

wayyyyyyyy too low based on what i tried. i had my pre-amp almost full, and the levels at a line output.

maybe you can use crappy mics as drumsticks
