Out of the choices you gave... I vote for the SP12. I love the sound of the older Emu products. The s950 will probably sound closer to how the MPC60 sounds. It wont sound identical to it though. Plus you have to use floppies....

If you want the MPC60 sound then get a MPC60. Its all subjective though...
A good piece to use in conjunction with the 60 is the ASR-X. The idea of course is to use the 60 for drums and sequencing. (1.5 mb is plenty for drums @ 12 bit) Use the X for sampling. (The Pro version has 66mb sample time) Its easy to chop samples with the X. Easier than the MPC products. The sequencer on it cant compare to the MPC. This would of course mean you would probably have to sell the 2000XL. You would have some change leftover from the sale to buy another toy though...lol. Maybe a bigger mixer to handle the monsterous 16 outputs you will have?

Maybe an analog filter for the 60? Maybe...some vinyl to sample from? This combo would give you 12 bit, 16 bit, Linn sequencing, more outputs and much more sample time. Most of all though, with the filters and efx on the X combined with its resampling feature you have the ability to be much more creative and expressive right from the jump.
Anyway... I just thought I would step in and give you even more to think about....If your head explodes because you simply cant decide, then my job is done here.
Ladies and Gents I will be here all week.......Please tip the bartender on the way out..... *drum roll*
