I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything too similar so I figured I'd ask. Also i'm still fairly newb-ish to the MP.
I sampled a nice clean jazz bass line from a digital source (my computer's line out) and I stretched the bass line from 150 to 90bpm. Everything was normal but at the beginning of each note I heard a little "pop"....After going in and re-adjusting the start and end points of the chops I got the "pops" down pretty low, but not that low all things considered. I can still hear them really clearly in the playback and it bothers me.
So I ask you MPC community: after you time-stretch, how do you clean the sample up so it sounds nicer? Is there a filter you can throw on it to get rid of the little pops?
oh yeah. it's an MPC1000 with JJ OS 4.99.
