I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything too similar so I figured I'd ask. Also i'm still fairly newb-ish to the MP.

I sampled a nice clean jazz bass line from a digital source (my computer's line out) and I stretched the bass line from 150 to 90bpm. Everything was normal but at the beginning of each note I heard a little "pop"....After going in and re-adjusting the start and end points of the chops I got the "pops" down pretty low, but not that low all things considered. I can still hear them really clearly in the playback and it bothers me.

So I ask you MPC community: after you time-stretch, how do you clean the sample up so it sounds nicer? Is there a filter you can throw on it to get rid of the little pops?

oh yeah. it's an MPC1000 with JJ OS 4.99.

If you take a look at the wave u probably see some peaks that are obviously bigger then other peaks in the wave. Select this peak by zooming in as close as possible. Now silence that part. Maybe this will do the job.

But what I really think what's going on is that u've tried to stretch it too much. When that happens sonic changes will ocur.
