Hi everybody, I'm new here, so I'm gonna introduce myself quickly cuz I definitely am gonna spend some time on here with some of you guys...
Basically I just started using an MPC 1000 using the native OS and goin through some stuff in the manual. So far I've always made my beats on computers with Protools, VST's and all that.
Anyway, here's something I really don't get. Here's how my session is set up right now:
track 1: sample chops (with pads set to mono, and mute group 1)
track 2 to 5: individual drum sounds (kick snare etc)
track 6: 808's with pads set to mono, and mute group 2.
When all these tracks are played together, my sample chops on track 1 get muted sometimes, as if too much shit was playing at the same time, and it couldn't handle it.
But I'm sure I must have set something wrong, I can't really believe that it can only handle 5 tracks at a time...
So when I mute track 6 (my 808's) and track 5 (cymbals) for example, everything will play smoothly with no stupid mutes on my sample chops on track 1.
Does anybody know what could be the problem?
Thanks for your time!
