Not sure but when a sequence is playing and i try to access the RECORD screen to record i cant, so i have to stop the sequence and go the the RECORD screen and press play and then its fine then i can switch screens while the seqence is playing but sometimes NOT ,, i do this to keep my flow , i hate stoping a sequence to do things so i try workarounds so i dont have to stop a sequence ( hope they impliment alot of tweaks to the new OS so one does not have to stop sequences during editing ) anyway im running the latest OS but it only happens sometimes.

yea, that happens to me too.
it seems related to whether the sequence has stopped since a track has recorded.

haha word to that, people complain alot about things, they dont wanna go that extra step pretty soon in like 50 years the MPCs will have a feature were you record your samples and it will make a beat for you. No creativity needed...

i think that if it is inconsistent, it is very likely to be a bug. hopefully it will be fixed in the new os, otherwise let akai now.

penfod -> can i have baked beans and toasts with the fried eggs ? yummy!!
