you are only allowed a certain amount of files in any one folder at a time, also the root dir, organise your sh1t better. (be sure to back up form time to time) Penfold

ooo ok, well, my situation is i get that error and i cant transfer anything to the cf card from the computer. and i dont have alot of folders. even if i reformat, i guess its the sucky ass card.

i have had a 2gb card for the past 7 months and i've never had a problem. did they format the card with on the mpc or on the computer? you have to format it on the mpc. are the file names that trying to be saved, 8 characters or less? are they multiple words? it has to be 8 or less and it sometimes doesn't like multiple word file names, ie: 808 kit should be something like 808_kit.
