you are trying to loop a fantom keyboard and mpc together through midi and the very beginning of the beat on the mpc gets choppd off like the first bass drum and it goes off beat a little? sometimes the loop just stops playing? i think its some midi options i have set on my mpc. anyone know the correct midi options for hooking up an mpc and a fantom? any help would really be appreciated.

i guess you need to leave a couple of bars at the beginning to allow them to sync properly. i know you want to loop them, but if it ain't working it ain't working, right?

i guess you could record the mpc track into the fantom as audio, if it's capable of doing this?

hope this helps.

hmm shoud i just record emm both into comp and combine them to one wave? it seems like a fantom and mpc should be able to loop properly together =/

I just use solo to record my basslines. After you get it down, press solo again and it should play with your song. That's the only thing i can think of. Hope that helps. But let me know if you come up with a better way to do it because that would help me out a lot too.

I had a similar problem...Basically, if you have program change ON on the track, then it takes a little time to transmit the data and will cause the first note to shift...If you are looping the beat, then I suggest trying with program change OFF...It worked for me...Hope this helps...

Are you trying to play the first note as soon as you hit record? If so, you can let the MPC loop once in record mode before you start playing. This is what I usually do when I need a note on the first beat.
