I recently noticed something that pissed me off. I had a bass sample set to note on and mute itself. I went to 16 levels, so I could play my bassline. But when I play one note, hold it, play another note and then release the first one, the second one stops playing.

Is this a bug or is it supposed to be that way? It is annoying because now I have to release the first note before I play the second, and this leaves a small (but noticable) silence in my bassline, where I don't want there to be one. Or go into step edit and change the duration.

So, bug or not???

Yeah, that's not a bug. It did that on the old OS too. It really sucks... drives me nuts too sometimes.

Sav is it the same with autochromatic or does that allow you to play them properly?

i neeever use 16 levels except for attack/velocity

yes it is annoying

i wish they would change it

i believe it happens because when the mpc processes a 'note off' message for a certain pad, it always stop all playing notes for that pad

(and in 16 levels you are essentially playing a bunch of notes all on one pad but with different tuning)

Yeah, I figured that was it. I just wish they'd fix it, shouldn't be that hard, should it?
