Faster way to edit samples??

Faster way to edit samples??

I've been loading sounds into my MPC1000... and when I go into the "trim" mode to edit the sample... I have to wind the wheel FOREVER just to cut the sample a little bit... There has to be a faster way... Cutting a sample in half should not take all day winding the wheel...???

1k is best used with a comp to load easily cut samples from a program such as soundforge or recycle. Otherwise use finger weights to work out with to spin that wheel lol.

hit shift + the <-- arrow and itl change digits so u can highlight more then1 digit at a time

try using the numeric key to type in your start and end points. it'll definitely save you time.

I can't speak like my method is the best, but chopping a sample on the MPC for me is eaiser than loading it into the computer and then editig it and then loading it into recyle. Its much quicker for me on the MP, just do what capshun mentioned and you will start to get quicker

Gotta agree there. I've been recording into PC's since the days of P233's and can say that doing it on the MPC is a completely different experience. If you hear something you like you can have it mapped to a pad in no time and play. Rather than click click click load click click. The 4000 is calling but there is no way I can afford that at least for the next year or two.

Hey, any of you guys want to by a special edition MPC1000 for £1449? It has a transparent fingerprint motif on the screen and a custom 0.5cm precision split plastic side panel. One in a million.

do you have a pic of it. that's kind of expensive. I wanna see if its worth it. I already have a 1k but I wanna see if yours is worth that much

I was going through some old posts and came upon this. Better late than never as the saying goes ;)

The fingerprint motif is invisible to the naked eye but the crack, now that is special - a truly unique custom feature. You'll have to use the MPC upside down to see it but it's definately worth the money. It will improve your productions beyond any and all possible OS and/hardware updates! I'll knock off £200 just for you Spark!

What do you say?
