what's the average megabyte size of your projects? ie, if you save your project in a folder, what is the size of your folder?

just curious

always less then 4 megs. i love to chop and use small samples. plus mono helps save sample space seeing how i only have the 16 meg internal memory

interesting.

makes me wonder if i'm keeping extra samples cuz my project folders end up being 30-40 megabytes. i feel like i'm using most of em though.

eh Ant, thanks for teh add too btw...umm mine are really small up to about 2-5M for samples, maybe 1M for drum hits..usually then add further instrumentation via real instrumenst or VSTi's on pC then chop em and throw em back into MPC and sequence...but yeah I like using small elements to create the total picture its a lotta fun..

small samples are sick. all my stuff is chopped REALLY small, all the melody samples are shredded like lettuce

i think it's also because i resample my sweeps and animation from the sp404, these lengthy wav files must take up a lot of space.

who knows, i'll have to browse to find the culprit.

Yeah I usually end up with 30+ meg projects too. It's because I build programs first full of a lot of samples, and only end up using a few of them in the actual beats, so essentially I'm saving a bunch of superflous samples. It's sort of my new years resolution to change the way I build program files.. be more picky at the front end about what samples I put in there, etc.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with huge project files..
